Redesigning toys: Little Drummer Bear

so I continued my journey on collecting cheap toys and found a Drummer Monkey.
there were actually a Drummer Rabbit, Panda, and Chicken too, but all that left in the store are the monkeys, cause obviously, it's kinda creepy.
I brought the monkey home and put a mask and artificial hands.
I crocheted him a sweater too but he can't move with the heavy sweater so I have to keep the old clothes on him for now.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

and he's now rehearsing for the Christmas Act.  yes, as the little drummer boy :)
you could watch the video here

after a long knitting time

finally done this spider I started a long time ago for the TV show
I rarely use multicolored yarns (some says it's batik yarns).
and yes, it's my first time using it for amigurumi.
I can't say I hate the colors and the motifs, cause it's interesting and surprising, I didn't know how it would be before it's finally done.

another spider in zpiderdzigh family :)

The Pink Nosed Reindeer (with pattern)

I'm a slow starter, at the late November the Mall already begin decorating their shop in Red and Green, while me just getting the holiday spirit 10 days before Christmas.
Instead of making traditional Red and Green Christmas ornament, I made a little twist.  it's a coincidence actually, I got free yarns from Mbak Oty (@Rajutanmama), the colors are pink and black.  I love Pink, I hate Black, but I love the combination.  So I made a black Reindeer with a shinny shocking pink nose :)
I think it's okay to add some dark color to the season of joy, isn't the light looks brightest in the dark?

My Wishlist

For my birthday or for Christmas or maybe New Year Presents or maybe because you want to buy me something, here's my wishlist (I stalk it at ebay everyday it became an obsession):

 4. Tatting Shuttle from Aerlit (preferably the pink one)

number 1-5 are very specific items, but if you want to give me  a little bit surprise by choosing the model and price by yourself, here are some suggestion:

6. Wallet
I NEED A WALLET (with a lot of cash) cause my wallet is torn here and there and can't keep cash in it for a long time.
7. Bags
I love bags, especially handmade bag.
8. Notebook
do you remember that I broke my notebook? Mac or Windows are fine by me ;;)
9.  Anything pink!
10. Anything lime green!

thank you very much :D

I will be back soon with another new list!

Me on Moccachinno

last week zpiderdzigh was featured on Moccachinno, at TransTV :)

it's me again!!! (doing that duck face on TV)

a little bit crocheting demonstration
yes.. I specially requested them to put this "masuk tipi" notes, and they put it on the credit title :p
(masuk tipi measn "I'm on TV")

what you didn't see at the TV:

1.  I just figured out that I have a brief case full of small amigurumis.  I spent 2 hours to display them at one table, and the first thing the cameraman said was, "I'd like to see the table cleared up, and you'll put the dolls one by one". *shocked!

 2. I already prepared the cup amigurumi the night before the shoot.

3. I was asked to make some kind of puppet theater, but I failed. acting is just not my thing :p
4. few days later, my Kuda Lumping also featured at O Channel
this is Mbak Oty, the owner of Rajutanmama (yarn shop  and knitting community at depok)

here's more picture of my amigurumi

I find it hard to let them go, I love them all.
Kuda Lumping, the most challenging amigurumi  I ever made
teyong & anying
Indonesian animal (komodo, sumatran tiger, rhino, proboscis monkey)
the big dolls at the back and the pink bear are my first amigurumi

20 days before the expired ID Card

I want to make my 27 years of life full of adventures
I was still trying to do many things before my ID card expired on my 28th birthday.
but then I got a news, my cousin, Petrus Sigit,  passed away last Friday because of chronic kidney disease.
He lived in our house for many years during his college days.  He was like a big brother to me.
Since he was married, we were rarely contact each other.
I find it odd when he out of the blue contacted me few months ago, because, really, I didn't hear any news from him for years.  I never knew it was the last time I "talk" (via sms) with him.
I did meet him about two or three months ago at the hospital, he was lying in bed in pain so I didn't really talk to him.
last week I heard that he was getting better, so I was shocked when my father told me he passed away.

I was planning to do various things this month.  From finding a new job or making another animation or just watching free movies on movie festival.  Now it was just some silly unimportant thing to do before my ID card expired.
I still can do it after I got a new ID Card, is there anything more important to do before my life expired?

So long, Mas Petrus,  Rest in Peace.
