Meet Hiro the Dog

So... I've been neglected my amigurumi and my blog for a while,
one of the reason is because I was making animation.
I love making animation as much as making amigurumi.
When I spent my 2012 making a lot of amigurumi while not making animation, I felt guilty.
And when I spent the last month trying making animation and not making amigurumi, I feel guilty as much.

so I kept in my mind that I would make amigurumi right after the animation done... and now...
Meet Hiro, the dog :)

the fun part of making this amigurumi is adding the rivets on the colar.  The dog need some blings :)

The visual model for Hiro is Kupir, one of my dog.  And since I have the real dog, you can have Hiro.

Flamingo Giveaway announcement

So sorry for the postponed announcement, thanks for participating on the giveaway :)

there are no doomsday (not yet, not now)
What's happened at December 21st was no doomsday, just some flood puddle.
I I never been trapped in flood for my first year in Jakarta until that day.
I was going to catch a train to Bandung, I already got the ticket.
The problem was one hour before the departure, it was raining heavily.
and like always, after the rain, the flood puddle came, and then the traffic jams.
Luckily it's not really far, I could go there by foot.  but some morons in motorcycle ride their motorcycle at the sidewalk made me trapped in another traffic.  yes, at the sidewalk, me walking side by side those morons in motorcycle, as if the rain and the flood wasn't bad enough.
I arrived at the train station on time, with wet and dirty clothes from head to toe.
I felt stupid when I finally on the train and saw no passenger as messy as me.
anyway,  I left the flamingo (for the giveaway) at the office.  I forgot to bring it along to Bandung, that's why the giveaway announcement is postponed.  And thankfully because of that, the flamingo is not damaged by the flood.

so.....  the winner of the Flamingo giveaway is Ghoulfang,
because even though there's no apocalypse, loneliness is a very terrifying thing for Flamingos.

it was long planned, not As old the Mayan calendar, but I had planned to give away an amigurumi again this December, before the 2012 apocalypse.
Choosing one amigurumi for the give away is not a simple task.  Come on! it could be the last giveaway, I have to give something useful.

I'm having a great time reading all the entries, there are total 56 entries.
3 of them claimed not to want any cockroach, too bad (it really makes me want to send them the real cockroach.).
Yes, I'm one of the person who would make a prank using cockroaches :P
apparently, there are at least there are 11 more people who would love to make prank using cockroach too.
6 people would love to have the knitted cockroach for memory sake and nostalgic reason,
18 people would love to give knitted cockroach to their loved one for various reason. Makes me wonder, could it be a favorite gift for husbands?
5 people requested the pattern, so I guess the next valentine they would definitely sending cockroaches instead of chocolates.

But I think no one can beat Travis, the world record bearer for putting the most cockroaches in his mouth, therefor, I'm proudly announced him as the winner of cockroach giveaway.
as I wrote before, I would give extra cockroaches for crazy answer.
so Travis, you win 11 cockroaches just like your record. But please don't put them in your mouth, it could be a choking hazzard.

the next winner is ccosner, cause she has write a long essay about cockroach.
and the last but not the least winner is Ruw19 the Rajo Kapuyuak (King of cockroach), because he was my colleague who inspired me to make the cockroach amigurumi.
He's the one in charge of catching cockroaches at the studios with bare hands.
This reason might be personal, but he's also the first to answer the cockroach giveaway, so I think it's fair enough.

Vacation Giveaways (postcards and pins)

it's school holiday! YAY!
oh right, I'm not a student anymore, but since it's my first time ever
not being employed nor in training or school
it's Vacation time for me :D

I will be on vacation with my friends.
I won't bring a hook or needle so there will be no update for days.

while I was supposed to prepare for the vacation, I accidentally designed some pins.

Yes it was the pictures inside frames from the last post.
I designed the pictures only for the photoshoot, but later order some pins using those pictures (there are 10 pics).

it was not planed and.... I will give some as Vacation giveaway!!!

in the other hand, I also made some postcards using my amigurumi photos.
There are 24 different pictures, and I will also give some as giveaway :D

so here's the rule (please read carefully):
1. the pins giveaway only open for participant with Indonesian address only, while the postcard giveaway are for everyone (why? because the international shipment is expensive and remember I'm unemployed right now)
