Finally this blog stat counter has reach 1000!
YAY! thanks to all of you, it won't happen without you.
compared to other blogs, this 1000 is only a small number,
but I'm happy enough, so the next goal is to reach 5000
to celebrate this 1000, I decided to finally --take a deep breath-- start selling my amigurumis.
right now I have been making some amigurumi for my "store".
while the past amigurumi were made only for my hobbies, the new amigurumi are made specially for the store.
what's the difference?
well the hobbies-amigurumi are made to be kept, and the store amigurumi are made to be sold.
the hobbies amigurumi were made mostly without pattern, so I won't be able to make same amigurumi.
meanwhile Some of the hobbies amigurumi were made by other's pattern and some were copyrighted so I am not allowed to sell them.
just send me e-mail to zuperdzigh@yahoo.com if you are interested with any of my amigurumi collections.
For the store, I'll make sure that the amigurumi I'm selling is 100% my creation, by my design and my pattern.
Don't worry, opening store won't stop me from sharing free pattern. It's a promise :D
So where are the new amigurumis?
I haven't uploaded the pictures, since I'm planning to open a stand in a local bazaar.
I'm still waiting for they confirmation.
if it is okay and confirmed, it would be the launching day of my store.
wish me luck :D

New Recipe : Baby Octopus

right click on the picture to read the recipe or save it for your sushi night
Me and my sisters love sushi a lot!
our favorite is unagi roll and baby octopus
yeah, that's cruel, eating babies.
But it is so delicious!
So here's the recipe, of course the amigurumi recipe, cause I can't cook.
I didn't put any eyes on the amigurumi,
because I prefer not to look at the eyes of the creatures I'm eating.
Do not hesitate to ask if you find any problem with the recipe.
and I would like to see too if you tried making your baby octopus :D
Warning: the baby octopus-gurumis are not edible :D
EDIT: sorry, there's a mistake in rnd3, it should be repeated 6 times, instead of 3 times
I've updated the picture.

Semut Semut Aww
"Semut Semut Aww" is an ending lyric from a famous rock Indonesian Song Semut Hitam (means black ant)
Semut is Ant in Indonesian.
By the way, what am I doing for the few weeks?
I was making amigurumis. A lot of amigurumis.
My target was making at least one amigurumi a week.
But I can't put the amigurumis picture here for some reason.
Yeah, it's a secret thing, and it's suck.
And for this week, I'm making a working ant.
Instead of using black, I used brown, cause I hate working in black.
Why an ant?
Ants are cute right? black and small :D
They are working everyday for their colony
They are famous, they have 2 famous animated movies "a Bug's life" and "Antz"
So why not an ant?
And of course I'm making the smiling ant, because this ant is a kind creature.
When I was making this Ant-gurumi , I asked my sister how many legs it has.
She guessed six (which is right), but to make sure she was instantly looking for ants at the kitchen.
She was an ant bully, and for the sake of this kind creatures, I had to stop her.
So I'm proudly say that no ants were harmed during the process.

Bandersnatch
I watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland 2 weeks ago
The characters are amazing, the chesire cat is cute, but my favorite is Bandersnatch.
SO.. I made the amigurumi version of Bandersnatch, based on my sketch, based on my foggy memories of the movie.
I totally forgot that I could use google for getting the image of Bandersnatch.
And actually, Tim Burton's Bandersnatch images are rarely found on google.
So, please forgive me for shamelessly call this as "Bandersnatch", cause I knew I missed many details.
I really love this character, so maybe someday I made a better Bandersnatch amigurumi.
NEWS UPDATE (November 10 2011):
this Bandersnatch is not for sale, and since it was made using special yarns (which is not always available), it's impossible to recreate this plushy. I'm very sorry that I could not provide pattern for this toy, since it was made a long time ago.

at the rest stop
No, I have nothing new yet.
I had a crochet marathon in the last two month.
It's not normal, cause I knew I'm a lazy person
The weirdest thing was I become 10 times creative when I am busy.
It was the same like when I was in school, I made my comic story when I was supposed to study for exams.
After spending 8 hours holding mouse then 5 hours holding crochet hook everyday for the last 2 months, Now I'm taking a rest.
Not because I am sick or bored, I just remember that I had spending too long without holding a mouse pen.
How could I call my self an illustrator or designer or a comic stripper if I never make any illustrations or comic or designs? (of course beside my daily job)
I did designed all of my amigurumi, but it was not enough for me to be called as a designer, especially compared to my friends (who are also designers)
it seems like I'm having more fun making dolls than making picture, but no, I love to do both.
So after some short mouse-pen-session the last 4 days, hopefully I will start to take my crochet and yarns again tomorrow.
I made this post to praise my self and pat my own shoulder for being too diligent :D
